Done !

Well I had no bread or potatoes yesterday ! It's very difficult to find something to eat without either in Ashton on your dinner break though ! I ended up with a plated salad, but just ate the onions, a sliver of pepper and celery. If I had a ton of salt I may of eaten more of the lettuce, but instead it went in the bin !

Day two, and I am a bit better prepared, have a banana and grapes for dinner in my bag !
The weatheris still rubbish, but they say it is going to be glorious from Friday onwards, so we will see !
Got four more days in, then my long weekend, hope to get lots of walking done during it !

Jesus it's July !!

Tut tut !! Well the boss started some milk shake diet the other day, and after a quick flick through the paperwork I concluded I can try and give up bread for a bit.

This is despite me reading an article the other day. that stated that scientists have identified a gene that makes us addicted to bread and potatoes, and that sounds sense to me.

so here I am , 16 -7 , let's see if I can stick to it !!

Now The Carnival Is Over !

And we are back from Turkey with a bump! I was fading in energy come midnight, which was causing some friction with the boss, as well as really bad diarrhea and sickness for both our daughters, then the trots got me. I hardly ate anything for the last three days, and my last visit to the toilet before leaving for the airport was 80% blood, which was a tad scary, I have never done that before !
As soon as we got back home, we both weighed ourselves , and are not happy !
I am now 16.7.5 and need to do something about it. Since returning, my appetite has not returned fully,and I am taking advantage of this. I have installed my fitness pal on my phone again (9.5 lbs heavier than last time I used it ) and so am tracking every calorie I eat and drink.
When I go to work now, I am taking water instead of juice.
I am going back to basic calorie counting, it worked for me once, so can again !
I have also discovered that my gym membership that I thought had been cancelled has not been, so will be heading back there soon, as time permits .

Walking

I had a nice walk yesterday, in the snow in My Native Hadfield.

This is The Masons Arms, rumoured to be turned into a Tesco Express Store.

In this pub the first two of my serious relationships started.
My first love sent a messenger down to get me from the pub, about 9 months after asking her out,to tell me that she loved me one night.

Then on my 21st birthday in the same pub I told my ex girlfriend who was now with my best friend that I still loved her. She told me that was tough, but within 5 months we were back together, and married within the year, so you can see, this place was special to me. i lost my 2 front teeth after sinking tons of pernod in there, just after I had turned 18 !!

Elsewhere, It's only 5 weeks to our holidays, and we are getting giddy now !

The First Day Of Spring

Still here, still working, our holiday is only 7 weeks away now, so it's getting better.
We have scaffolding up at the side of the house, we are finally getting our roof and gable end sorted !

We went out the other night, to support a few friends that were working at the Apethorn pub in Hyde.

Life Goes On

Still kicking ! Just finished our week off, started quietly , then our day out on Thursday was a blast, and then the wedding of a good friend of ours on Saturday, It was the most amazing wedding we have ever been too, and must of cost a fortune. It's location however is another story.
We had never been to Chorley, and were amazed by the number of roundabouts and one way systems, it's a nightmare ! Couple this with the fact there are only 2 taxi firms, and the one we waited nearly an hour for only had 5 cars on the road, on a Saturday night ! It made us realise just what a good taxi setup we have here in Tameside.
I have applied for another inspectors job, still waiting for a yes or no to see if I get an interview.
I have sold the focus, managed to pay our holiday off, and bought a little 125 Yamaha scooter, which is a lot of fun !
